| Those Mapex kits are BADASS!!! There is an excellent drum shop around here called Don Bennet drum studio. They thech lessons, classes, hold drum clinics, and have an amazing selection of drums owned by famous people. They've got Steve Smiths old kit for sale, among others. Anyhow they teach drum lessons in there, and they use mapex Pro M and M Birch kits for the lessons. Aparently they hold up to constant abuse for years. They sound great too, I played both the Pro M and M Birch, they sound great. The birch has a warmer tone, and the maple is well, maple: super punchy and loud. I am definetly going to get the M birch set soon. |
