The height can easily take a 24" bass drum. and to be honest all the extra adjustments just get in the way when you're setting up and tearing down.

The dr80 with four clamps, three sections (900mm each) costs $169US at musicians friend.

It weighs approximately 4kgs (aluminium construction).

You can mount litteraly anything on it as its clamps are interchangeable with icon series.

The elbows are spaced to allow you to fold it up with the clamps still attached. I used to own a gibralter rack and nothing was more time consuming than taking every, bloody piece of it apart after every show. The fold up size is 900mm/ 800mm/ 150mm approx.

I'm not sure what a traps case is in size, but I assume it would not fit, but then neither would my gibralter.

The big plus being, at the end of the show the gibralter was seven different pieces. The dr80 is one.
