| You can get the heads re-cut if you can piece it back together nicely and that will help the tone and sharpness some. A drum tech is best bet to do it right. I did my old practice kit ( John Grey Broadway) with sandpaper and a jig to give the dented round edges an angle like modern drums, made a big difference, but that depends if you wanted to spoil the original characteristic of the drum also. The Sonor sound might be just what you want and could be worth more to a collector in that state ????? |
