What is the length and diameter,and tip shape of these?
I use the longer Vater power 5 A's and 1A's as it gives me more reach and power and i like the balance point back some (just me), and also the Zildjian JR Robinson Jazzer model which are 16 5/8 x .595 ball tip.

The wood tips falling to pieces may be due to your playing technique? Slow down your motions and watch how and where you strike things, they should last for some time. I find Vater sticks good quality.
Are the sticks Hickory? I find hickory the most durable.
Ahhhhhhh, follow the link above for info and reviews of the stick, they look o.k, ball heads are bright and fast around the kit.Similar to the Jazzer but shorter and thinner.
