I have 2 ride cymbals, a ZXT rock ride & a ZXT medium titanium ride. I bought the rock ride off ebay for a cheap price because i didn't have a ride cymbal & needed something to fill that void. I never heard the way that cymbal sounded & it turned out that i liked it. As for the titanium ride I heard one in the store before & really liked the sound of it, but they wanted more than i could afford for it. Again I found one on ebay for a good price & got it thinking I'd like the sound of it better than the rock ride. The titanium ride came in yesterday. So here's my delima, I'm going to sell one of them, but now that i have both cymbals & can hear them side by side I can't decide which one i like better. The rock ride has a lower darker tone with nice undertones, the titanium one is brighter with a nicely defined ping to it. Which cymbal would you guys/gals choose?
