What are some things you guys are trying to get accomplished this summer in terms of drumming? I would like to put my mind to being more independent around the kit and playing more funky stuff...
Some of the books I've been looking into:
-Advanced Funk Studies by Rick Latham (the solos should keep me busy all summer)
-The New Breed (for independence)
-Advanced Studies for the Modern Drummer (for independence playing swing)
-Marco Minnemann's Extreme Interdependence (if I'm good enough by then...
)
So what are your goals for the summer ?
