| ta, yes your right isolation is the key feature here. I haven't got them in my possession as yet, about 10 days, I am sure I will do a review. The thing about these drums is they are the heaviest drums I have ever felt. Heavy as in weight.
They are certainly not suited for a gigging drummer unless you have heaps of roadies.
Your correct each drum will never sound like another. Not only because of the different blends used, maple, mahogany and birch but because the drums are so well made. Further true tuning IMO is to tune to the shell size. So a 12 should never really sound like a 13. When 10,12,14,16,18 is at your fingertips I guess I need to look out for 8,9,11,13,15,17 and a massive 19.
I was really deciding between a Brady,Gretsch ,Sleishman and Le Seprano. I guess the bottom line is dollar and when a bargain comes along , one must grab it...
Full review photos and anything else will be up soon. I do still have to wait for the snare though, which should arrive around the same time. Fingers crossed.
finally I am going to build a wooden floor cause these babies don't deserve to be on crappy carpet....
