| I'm 46 also, I would agree that taking care of yourself is important. I don't feel I'm on the downward slope yet, with one exception my hearing. Wear that hearing protection religiously!!! I wish I had when I was younger (but hearing protection wasn't even thought about then). I'm not at the hearing aid stage yet, but I definately am at the stage where I'm having problems understanding people at low volumes, and people complain that I have the TV up too loud. listening to music is less enjoyable for me also, because I can tell I'm not hearing the full spectrum of the sound as well as I used to. No one told us when we were in our teens and 20s that we should be wearing hearing protection playing loud music in a band, but you've been warned. A set of earplugs is a cheap investment for protecting you musical future. |
