I think the only good thing to come out of this is that this poor old building will finally get burned down. Then we can build a nice shiny new temple. Won't that be just precious?? |
With all respect I've been a regular attack target since winning last year's WFD title, and it's been totally stupid. Mostly its been from imbalanced guys in my age bracket who are emboldened by adults masquerading as drum saviors. I have been the unsolicited focus of any number of unorganized drum forum attacks that range from this givemethebeat character's inane ramblings to threads on metal forums where posters try to guess what my brains would look like on a bathroom wall if I comitted suicide. On one forum where I don't even participate, two huge attack threads of over 100 posts each had to be eliminated in their entirety.
As mentioned, I don't in any way shy away from legitimate criticism. But I am not a fan of shallow pseudo intellectualism parading as knowledge at my personal expense. Mostly, these pretender types are completely thrown off guard when they discover that I can not only think and write, but I actually have a clue. I am certain you have seen this guy's banter and the irritation it has caused others here. I had a couple of days off school, so I thought I would make an investment in the future. For all practical purposes I am done here, since his credibility has essentially been eradicated, if it ever existed in the first place.
Sir, you too would have a far different slant on these proceedings if this were you, or even more significantly... a son my age. These drum forums can be great places to talk shop and experience a little comraderie. But the personally directed foolishness has to go away first, and I will have no more of it.
Again, with all due respect.
