Blast Beats
Ever since I've started drumming I've always gone fast. You are right I do need to slow some things down, but I think I just got so used to playing in a thrash/death metal band that to me it didn't even seem like I was going that fast. Keep in mind I just kinda was messing around and wasn't sure of what to play.
For the blast beats I almost always alternate my left and right hand and use my double pedal in the same manner. I normally do my blast beats as 16th or 32nd notes on bass and try to hit my snare with every beat or every other beat on the snare. |
