I have a Zildjian A Custom 18" and it has a split in it.... It sounds the same as it did before the split but I was just wondering how this happens

Every time you hit a cymbal it bends and then keeps bending and vibrating. I would suspect that it cracked due to metal fatigue.

No it didnt crack it SPLIT it looks really odd I have cracked a cymbal before and they normally make a horrible sound if you try and play it, but this on sounds exactly the same as it did....
