Re: Wuhan china's

Wuhan is known for making cheap cymbals, but they do make good chinas. Let your ears decide, but personally, I don't see how you can go wrong with a $40 china cymbal, especially if it's Wuhan.

I personally like the trashey sound of whuhan's, but remember that they are rather delicate. You get what you pay for.

Re: Wuhan china's

I just got a 18" wuhan china for $30 about 2 months ago. It sounds very good to me. it sounds very dark and trashy with a strong attack and very short sustain to it. It was a good price and good sounding cymbal but 4 days ago i realized theres 2 cracks near the bend of the cymbal and that seems a little cheap to me sence i only had it 2 months or so... But it was used so i dont know how many miles it already had on it, but i think you should get it, its a good buy.

Wuhan's are seriously known for that. The guys at the drum shop tell me that they sometimes crack the first day.

Re: Wuhan china's

I'm assuming that any cymbal that cracks the first day got the crap beat out of it, but you know what I mean.

On another note, I've noticed a lot of cracked chinas for sale. It seems that they crack earlyer than regular crashes.

Yet another note: I cracked a cymbal for the first time the other day. Its a Sabian AAX metal 17". I blame my guitarist.

Re: Wuhan china's

I think that might be the reason why my china broke because every time my guitarist comes over for practice first thing he does is run over to get behind my kit before i do so he can jam while i set up. And he loves those metal breakdowns so hes allways wacking the hell outta my china lol

Re: Wuhan china's

Wuhan's sound incredible for the price... they do crack easily if you're a hard hitter, but they're also cheap to replace... I know people who have had them for over a year without any problems, and on the other end of the spectrum I've seem them go in a month. If you're not a hard hitter and use them more for accent hits they're OK.
