You are a bit misinformed, sir.
Sabian Xs20 cymbals are made of B20 alloy, yes, however, they are not refurbished cymbals. The
Sabian refurbished cymbals you are thinking of are known as
Sabian SR2 cymbals. These cymbals are made of B20 as are the Xs20 cymbals, but when you purchase one you may be getting an AAX, HHX, Xs20, or any other B20 line that
Sabian carries.
I have not heard any SR2 cymbals yet. None of the stores near me carry them either, but I have heard Xs20 cymbals. I have 14" hats, 16" crash, and 20" ride Xs20 medium thin cymbals. I absolutely LOVE the crash, the hats are awesome, and the ride... well the ride sounds great as well, but the bell is very small.
I would recommend finding some SR2 cymbals and comparing them with the Xs20's. The Xs20's won't sound like crap, they are awesome. I think the SR2's will probably sound great, too, since they are B20. Go for it, or try another brand that is easily available.
Hope this helps, happy drumming
