Better to eat the egg than to have in the face.

Re: What??? No one speaks of Paiste???

Paiste are so distinct. I can usually tell the difference between a Ziljian A or K and a Paiste pro cymbal.

In general, they have a mid-wet, very clear controlled spread overall. There is something 'glassy' or slightly 'crystal' about their sound.

I used to own 404s and 505s back in the day; the budget ranges of Paiste.

If I had the choice I would definately go back to Paiste. Quality.

Re: What??? No one speaks of Paiste???

I think that Paiste is the best hands down. I just love the 2002 series. I will not put any cymbal on my set unless it's a Paiste. Paiste has the best sound. I gave my 4 year old son his very first cymbal when he was 1 1/2. It was a Paiste alpha series 12" power splash(discontinued). He loves playing the drums so much. I even named him after a Paiste endorser: Joey Jordison. He will not let anybody use his cymbal.

Thumbs up Re: What??? No one speaks of Paiste???

What... Doesn't everybody use "Paiste"? I personally have over 70+ cymbals all different
brands and I currently use a mix of Paiste Signatures and Vintage Formula 602's and they sound "AWESOME" I can play any kind of music and these cymbals will do the job perfectly So "YES" I'm a Paiste player!!!!!!!!!

Re: What??? No one speaks of Paiste???

I agree. I love the Paiste Alpha Series. I have a few of the thin crashes...a 16" and an 18". Great cymbals especially for the price.
