New Beats are some of the absolute best hats you can have. There is a reason they sell for 200-400 per pair for old ones, and
Zildjian still makes them today. If you'd like to get the era they are from, take good, clean set of pix showing the ink stamp as well as the engraved or stamped logo. Join us here and go to the cymbal forum and post the pix, we have one of the worlds leading authorities on cymbals who can tell you what you have.
Vintage Drum Forum - Vintage Drum History - Vintage Drums DO NOT CLEAN THE PATINA OFF OF THEM. It will change the way they sound and will kill any opportunity to sell them to anyone that knows cymbals. I don't care what your friend or guitar player Freddy says, leave them as you found them and only use mild dish soap and water with a dishcloth, no scrubbers or anything else to clean them with. Simply wash them off and rinse them. The patina is part of the character of what makes cymbals mellow and sound perfect over the years.
Also, the "old Rogers" kit is a great kit. Can you give us the info on themas well? Any paper tags inside? That will tell the model and era, Cleveland, Fullerton, Dayton...and what is the snare?
