Your current Cymbal set-up

So??? whats yours?

I currently have:
8" zildjian Acustom Splash
12" Sabian AA Splash
14" New beats
16" AA Thin crash
17" AAX dark crash
20" AAX Stuido Ride
18" HH China
18" Oriental china

I mostly play in a church setting so Big heavy crashes dont work for me, I use multi-rod sticks cause im "too loud" lol, anyways, I really like the way that smaller crashes react, in and out. btw, I use both chinas whenever I get the chance!!

22" 2002 rock bell ride(discontinued)
18" 2002 rock china(discontinued)

Re: Your current Cymbal set-up

Currently on my kit I have my constantinoples set up, but it varys as to my mood.

Here is a pic of some of my cymbals.

Since this was taken in the fall of 2008 I've added about 35 more cymbals to the collection including full setups of Zildjian K Customs, Zildjian K Constantinoples, Sabian AAX, Sabian HHX and Bosphorus Traditionals.

Re: Your current Cymbal set-up

I have a very....varied array of cymbals.
Don't laugh I happen to like them, so that's why I kept them.

Right to left (when spinning on my chair):
Sabian 14" AA Thin Crash
Zildjian 21" Avedis Sweet Ride
Sabian 16" B8 Thin Crash (I told you not to laugh!)
Sabian 10" XS20 Splash
COMBO Hi-Hats: Top-> Zildjian 14" New Beat; Bottom-> Sabian 14" B8

On the side of my kit (looking to sell probably):
Sabian 20" B8 Ride
Sabian 17" AA Medium Crash
Sabian 14" Hat (top)
I also have the bottom New Beat kicking around, but I'm keeping that one >

I think the hats deserve an explanation...
So when I bought my kit (used), it came with an ancient set of B8s (Ride, Crash, and Hats)
Basically, the hats suck. They have a sharp sound, with too much attack, and in fact TOO bright. I find, anyway.
So I went out and found me some UFIPs. Anyone heard of these? They're big in Europe, I think. ANYWAY, even for 13"s they were way to dark for me. So I got some New Beats (ironically, they were used). I still found them a little dark, so I combined the Top New Beat with the bottom B8. It actually sounds really good. And I can also use my 14" crash in there, so I can have a whole array of sounds! They all work so well for recording, and I love it <3

And about the B8 crash....shut up, I like it
