Logos - offputting?

I remember reading a forum post by someone who found the logos on cymbals put him off his playing, so he'd remove them.

I'd never even considered that it could be a problem, and I'm never bothered by them myself. Logo removal isn't straight forward either, different companies use different printing techniques so for each brand of cymbal you need a different product which will attack the ink but not the cymbal itself.

I know lots of people remove logos, any of you guys do it? Also, it was the first and only time I've heard of a logo putting someone off, has that ever happened to you?

What do you mean by a logo putting someone off? Does the logo distract them or something?

If anything, I think the logo is sort of a status symbol (cymbal.. haha) if they're top notch..

Exactly right, they were distracted while playing.

I'm sorry but that's just ridiculous. Out of all things why would a cymbal logo be distracting to the point where you have to take it off? Just doesn't make sense to me.

I'm not sure how one would do that, but I've never considered it, and they don't distact me......as a matter of fact, I dig em.

My cymbals are paiste, but the logo wasn't on when I got them. When your playing drums you shouldn't be focused on whether or not you're gonna hit the logo or not. Never really thought of it as being a problem for someone.
