Splash Cymbal Sizes

What size splash do you guys play? For splashes, the sound difference is a lot greater for different sizes than for crashes and rides. For example, a 6 inch splash will sound really different than a 12 inch splash.

I personally use a 10 inch Zildian A splash because I think this offers a perfect balance of brilliance and sustain. Just what I need.

I have 2 8" splashes. I am putting rivits in one soon.

I used to have a 10" Sabian xs20 splash.

I've got a 10" paiste 402. Does the job and it's never cracked in 6 years. I'd like to get something smaller as well.

I use a 12" K, 10" Wuhan on one set..12" K and a 8" A on the other set.

I herd one in concert, played by a respected drummer of my state. and yes its the 10"
