My new hi-hats

Hi everybody

It was about time I replace my el-cheapo hi-hat cymbals for decent ones. Last week I won the bid (eBay) on a pair of 13" regular istanbul mehmet w/ flat holes bottom for 107$ usd

I wanted something a la sabian HH fusion and this is probably near that sound or Zildjian K mastersound, moreover now I have my own unique hi-hat sound since these are rare and not available anymore. I bouht them without really heard them (except on cymbalsonly.com) but I thought they would not be worst than those I have now.

Now people prepare yourself for mature subject pictures ahead (kleenex not include) !

great deal on a set of rare hi hats!

How's the sound? The holes make the sound dryer right?

I bet they're beautiful! I'm a huge fan of Istanbul cymbals.

I know it's not about looks but isn't the hammering pattern stunning?

They sound great, very dark & dry, not loud though but in miced situation they'll do fine. I dont know if the holes affect the sound much but I think it play a role on which fast they respond (air evacuation).

Thank's, the hammering pattern show how much work have been done to procuce a great pair of hi-hat.

Nice man! You gotta love ebay. Istanbuls sound awesome. I just won a K custom crash and im anxiously awaiting its arrival! 120$ brand new!

I think only "cymbalsonly" sell them
