Your Favorite Ride! 95 dodge ram cargo van My favorite ride at the moment is my flat top K. I love all the tones I can get out of it, and It sounds really good when crashed too. For a little heavier stuff, I like the Zildjian Ping Ride. So, what do you guys like for rides? |

| | I am still using the K ride that I got years ago ( I won it for a doller in a raffle ) and despite having a very very small crack at the top of the bell it still sounds great, but I really want a ping ride for some of the music that I play and I just cant get that loud ping that I want out of the K, I just dont know what ping that want, there are just so many to choose from |

| | I also like the Zildjian Ping Ride for a lot of different styles. For jazz, I prefer a K ride or something by Paiste. |

| | 20" Paiste Prototype ride, purchased three or four years ago.
From what I've been told by those more knowledgeable about "things Paiste" than I am, it's a prototype of the Dark Energy line. |

| | | No offense, but that thing is just hideous. I'm sure it sounds great though. Cymbals are almost like wine, they get better as they age. |

| | | I had a K Custom Dark Ride at one point, a 22"er. I loved the thing, but as I was crashing it out one day it broke almost right in half- I mean, I'm a hard hitter, but this was just rediculas, and that pretty much turned me off for now. Thing sounds so great though, great crashability, nice ping, and I actually loved the wash that came out, it was suddle, but it was a nice sound. |

No offense taken. Frankly, I love the way it looks, and I wouldn't trade it for the world. http://www.malletjazz.com/cymbals/prototype2.mp3 |

I does sound really good, my next ride might be unlathed, something like an Istanbul Turk. |

| | All of you are such cymbal collectors and can't be happy with just one good ride. Well, if I had the money, I would be too.
Anyway, ideally, I'd be happy with a Zildjian A Custom ride, something light and bouncy. I also like the ping rides so that would work too, although I like having a bell. |
