It all depends on which kind of which kind you buy. I like Zildjians whole line of cymbals but the higher priced Sabian, Paiste, and Meinl are nice cymbals too.

Best at what? They all make great cymbals especially in the pro lines.
They all have informative web sites, all quality cymbals ( they only break if you play, handle, or store them wrong), and customer orientated.
I have preferences for Zildjian A Custom, Sabian AAX, Paiste Signature and 2002, but that's just a personal thing.
So best company, all three.

Re: best cymbal company?

I've been playing for 40+ years, and for all these years I Have owned only Zildjian. There are a lot of good cymbals on the market today and your choice, in todays market is just that, Your Choice, for Your Sound. I have played, through different shows, at one time or another, all of, or at least most of, the top brands and have not, at this time played anything that I like any better than my As and Ks. When I visit my favorate drum store I check out all the cymbals.....yes even the ones that are not Zildjian. !!!!!!!!!! Still a Zildjian guy !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Talking Re: best cymbal company?

Ha, ha,
I am not going to sit on the fence!
For me: The Paistes always come out on top. You can buy for a very moderate investment the PST 5 series which beats (for the money) the pants of every other cymbal brand.
Check the reviews!
I will collect my Paiste Alpha flat ride this week, sohhh cooooool!
Now I am saving up for a Paiste 2002 full crash, I hope to jump on that one in December.

Don't waste get Paiste.

Cheers and happy drumming,

Harry
