I like Sabian because it's in my price range, but one of my favorite bands uses Paiste, and his sound great(The Tragically Hip, Paiste Signature I think), and I want to a music store to check out some cymbals, and I tried out some Zildjian... they sound GREAT! But they're too expensive for me... perhaps later I may get one!
Why Is It that no one considers Meinl to be one of the big Cymbal Makers. i think It should be big 4 not 3. If i had to choose from those three i'd definitly pick Zildjian, however i would Almost always pick Meinl over all 3 of the other major companys. One thing i think really stands out when it comes to Meinl, are the Hi-Hats they have to offer.
I'm personally a big Zildjian fan, but I don't mind Meinl and Sabian.
There shouldn't really be a "who's the best cymbal company" thing; it's all bias.
I've never had a bad experience with Zildjian and love what they offer.
Bosphorous is pretty good too(: Rikki Rockett uses those.
Of course you know there's no such thing. Everybody has their own take on what sounds good. I'm curious why you only named the BIG3 to choose from ? My Current set up includes : Zildjian, Sabian, Meinl, Diril, Silken,Bosphorus, and a bunch of Wuhans. There are so many Cymbal companies out there as well as drum and equipment manufactures the simple fact is there is NO best________ fill in the blank any company. T
