Re: best cymbal company?

I too completely agree with venom on this one.
We can never say who the best cymbal company is, it's all your own opinion.
What sounds good to you, is a good sound.
If getting your sound recquires using every company, so be it!

There never will be a best cymbal company, only favourites (:

Re: best cymbal company?

I agree with that guy who agreed with me(:

And I only named the big 3...and Bosphorous...because those are the only ones I have had definite experience with.

In Asheville we don't have a wide range of cymbals to choose from, and I prefer to try mine out in the store, so I use basically whatever I find in there.

It's not a preference for the big 3...it's just all I have to work with, ya dig?

Re: best cymbal company?

Bosphorous cymbals are hand made.

Zildjian is the oldest cymbal company. I also have the New Beats and very proud of the sound.

Both are very pricey.

Re: best cymbal company?

Its not about what company is the best cymbal maker, it is realy about preference. Even though my cymbal setup consists of both Paiste and Zildjian, I prefer Paiste.

14" Paist Signature Soundedge Hi-Hats
20" Paiste Signature power ride
18" Paiste 2002 china
18" Paiste 2002 crash
16" Paiste Signature Traditional extra thin crash
10" Zildjian A spash
16" Zildjian A thin crash
20" Zildjian A medium ride

"If it's too loud you're too old?"

Most elders need it louder. Some young-lings complain when the elders play the tele or music too loud.
