Need some help....

Hello,

I have been drumming for about about 6 months so far and I still have the pieces of "metal" that come with the kit and I have pretty worn them out so I am looking for some new hats, crash and a new ride. I want some suggestions on what I should look at getting I don't want anything crazy money but....I am into Punk and Metal music. What do you think?

Thanks a bunch

Hi Kristian30, like your pieces of metal comment!
Cymbals are a funny thing. Sabian are pretty popular with punk. If I can make a suggestion get the best you can afford, even if it means waiting a bit longer. I am partial to Paiste and have had good fun with Zils. Best value and sound on the market at a reasonable price is the PST5. They come in a pack and if you haggle you can get an 18 thrown in for the same price...They will last for years to. But there are others that are comparable I just like the explosiveness and the dynamics of the Paiste.

Thanks a bunch give me the beat! I was checking out those cymbals (PST5) and they look very nice. Do you have any more ideas on good Rock/Punk sets made by Paiste?

I used to go for the 402's but switched to 802's and alphas when I got the money.

Still got the 402 splash though. Still going strong after 10 years.
