Scored a new Cymbal today at Guitar Center

Well I thought I would check out guitar centers list sale, and although I didn't find anything on the list I wanted I did score what I think is a great sounding cymbal and fits exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a ride cymbal with a vintage jazz sound, I found a used Sabian 20" HH Classic Ride that they were selling for $160.00. Just what I was looking for at a real affordable price. I did like the Zildian K Dark ride a little better but at over $300.00 I couldn't justify in my mind spending that much more for it. I didn't like the Zildian $150 more worth.

Great purchase man. I always liked the HH sabians as well as any cymbal with a very jazzy sound.

Thanks RockJazz the more I play the HH ride the more I like it. I'm going to get more of that series to go with it. I think the Hi-Hats will be next

Ah yes, the search for the drummer's holy grail. It's great when you get just the thing you are after, and doesn't need be the dearest.

Had a 20" K Dark ride once but i found it got lost when soft turned to hard (music).
Nice sounding cymbal all the same. . I did have a Zildjian 20" Z light ride, it was an early one with the stamped pattern and it was great for rock to heavy and sounded great too. I finally have ended up with a 21" Zildjian A Sweet ride, which suits what i do nicely and versatile enough to cover the many styles of music which my band covers.

I recently got an Zildjian A 17" crash med - thin and it matches nicely between my AAX studio crash 16" and the 21" ride which also doubles as a nice crash.

I have coming in the post a pair of AAX stage hats and a pair of K standard hats i just won on EBay.
Couldn't make my mind up and bidded on both and won both at a great price.

Both have great reviews so looking forward to their arrival. My good old Paiste 2002's are going to sulk.

Warning cymbalitis is like a great tattoo, get one you gotta have another.

Congratulations on the E-bay wins, know what you mean about Cymbalitis. Get that one cymbal you really like and then just want to go get more to go with it.

As a long time user of A customs I began to grow tired of the trashy sound of the hats and even the crashes. Have been less hard rock gigs these days and was looking for a smoother cymbal sound. It started with the Zildjian K Custom hats. Wow what a sound. Smooth with a nice crisp chick sound. Well I was hooked...I bought the rest of the series. 20" ride, 17 and 19 crash, 19" china, 9 and 11 splash. Expensive yes...worth it absolutley!
