Anodizing Cymbals?


hey drummers. I just recently painted my drumset with purple to green color shift paint. pretty BA. Now, im gonna paint my cymbals with anodized paint. does anyone know if this will affect the sound ? will it chip the paint when i hit them or what. lol any ideas?

It might chip if you hit the edge of the cymbal pretty hard. I'd just forget about painting the cymbals, because the sound will suffer also.

I reckon you should'nt paint them because they're fragile objects, I got worried when i polished them for God's Sake!

Agreed. Joey Jordison gets paiste to paint his. I don't think i'd like to do it myself.

Drums one thing... cymbals another... I would spend money on cymbals like A customs...they shine more then just in the music.

Didn't/doesn't someone here have anodized cymbals? I think it's madcat....whoever has the all roto set. roto killer lol.
