Re: What Cymbals?

Just starting out but I recently bought a Zildjian ZBT Pack
Got a great deal off ebay
14 hats
20 ride
16 and 18 crashes
free ludwig cymbal stand
for $350US with shipping

Crashes sound pretty good after you hit them around a bit but the ride is really pingy maybe I just have to hit it a tad more since it seemed to work with the crashes. Hi hats are pretty nice as well and make a nice foot pedal sound. Also saw a deal for Zildjian A Customs which I regret not getting, but if you want something thats cheap and sounds pretty decent I suggest ZBTs. But im probably wrong

Re: What Cymbals?

Boutr the only cymbal packs in yuor price range would be from planet z's, ZBT's, B8's, or meinl mcs/hcs Like always, go to local drum shops and listen to the different cymbals.

I suggest to get some Meinl MCS if you want a metal sound.

Re: What Cymbals?

My best advise would be to save a little bit more and try before you buy.

Cymbals are a matter of personal taste and their pricey.

Buying cymbals is an investment, not a purchase. So go to your local store and hear what you buy. ZBT's have a flat response and are great for jazz and such.

If that's your bag, then go for it.

Then again, that's just me.
