China Cymbal Decision

Hey looking to buy a China for my kit
I was wondering if Wuhan is any good or should I just buy some Zildjians
Looking for something that won't kill my budget

Also whats a good size for a china if I only have one

Please post any prices or what not, would be greatly appreciated

I'd recommend the Zildjian china. The Wuhan isn't very good quality and will probably crack.

Yeah the low price on the Wuhans kinda made me think that they are pretty bad quality. Any other brands that I should consider? Any chinas you've tried out and liked let me know, I'll probably shop around and try to get a good deal so just tell me what china cymbals you use

I agree with Zildjian999

I would go for the A zildjian china boy low.

It does come in sizes 16" and above"

I'm buying the Zlidjian China boy low in a 20" size.

it's very sweet and has a nice sound for riding or slapping accents

zildjian FX china trash 16", 18", or 20" are someones that I have heard of people using... 18" is what i would use... another brand: Sabian... my china is a AAX 18".

this band has a hard hitting drummer, i havnt talked to him for a wile.
Talk
Size:22" his was less then $100

P.S. If you hit it with a stick, why spend alot

Re: China Cymbal Decision

I disagree with the zildjian or sabian chinas...
Though that is because I like a different kind of sound.
To me the Wuhan, Racan, etc... some of these more unknown names have a very
nice brash sound...

I am a heavy hitter and over my 20+ years of playing drums I have only broke one
cymbal... which was a 6" zildjian splash.

Just go beat a few and see what you like. But don't knock the cheap cymbal just because
it is cheap... it may have that sound you are looking for.

Meinl is another good brand to look into. Byzance series is most used in the "metal" category, and has a great sound but they're $200+ so yea.

No it won't. My Wuhans are proof of that - had 'em for about two years and smack the crap out of em. No cracks yet. And the china sound from a Chinese cybal is probably the original, don't you think?
