Dark cymbals...

So, my cymbal choice has been predominately bright (except for one) and i was wondering if any of you have a low toned cymbal that goes well with bright cymbals, because not all songs deserve bright cymbals.

Re: Dark cymbals...

Both my Ride (20" sabian HH Classic) and my new crash (Istanbul Agop 16" dark Crash) are dark, but my hi-hats are on the brighter side. I think it works out well. I had a B-8, 16" thin crash that the Istanbul replaced on the set and that was too Bright to compliment the Sabian Ride. I am thinking of adding an 18" Crash ride to my set up, for those times when I want a brighter Cymbal sound. I would suggest the best course of action is to always take your existing cymbals with you when you try new ones.
