Im also looking into buying new hi-hats because my top hat is cracked now. i was looking for something with a viry nize sizzle sound when open. Lots of attack in the chick and i want it to be very defined. but the open hi hat sound is very important to me. ill find something

Hi Church Drummer - Just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in..... I have 2 sets of 13" Zildjian KZ's. They have a very quick response and a thick low end (with the "Z" on the bottom). I also have an old set of 14" New beats tha I keep for playing big band and jazz gigs. Have a great one!

I am apparently a heavy hitter, so they are loud enough.
