13 inch high hats
I've auditioning new hi-hats to replace the two entry level sets I have now (a B8 and ZBT set). I prefer darker cymbals for the music I play, my ride is a Sabian HH classic, and my crash is a 16" Istanbul Agop Dark Crash. Because of my preference for Darker cymbals I didn't think I would like 13" hats (I though they would be higher pitched and brighter). I tried a couple of sets that I really like the Zildian K 13", and a Set of Istanbul Mel Lewis 13" hats. Both sets are a little on the pricey side but are just the sound I'm looking for. Anyone else out there use or prefer 13" hats. |
