i'm looking to replace my zildjian planet z's which are very thin
there is a pair of Sabian b8 pro hi hats on sale at my local music store for 70$
it seems like a great deal to me
how does everybody like these cymbals? worth it?

I remember the first series of B8 they came out with... and this is before the pro series existed was incredible in sound. I had a pair of hats and loved them. Then I tried another pair, in a store, years after I'd upgraded to some sabian sizzle hats... and hated them. The B8 cymbals didn't even look the same as the one I had purchased.... they must have modified the line in there somewhere.

The only thing you can do is test em out and see if you like them.

b8s are similar to Zil's ZBTs, which are entry level cymbals. I don't personally like them (they're not as musical as say the AA-HH range cymbals), but it's a matter of preference. They are very cost-efficient though.
