I do not even want to be seen dead with them! Though they have the right colour for that. LOL.

Cheers and happy drumming'

Re: Zildjian Pitch Black Cymbals

As the old saying goes "don't knock them till you've tried them" does not apply to cymbals at all. Fact is to keep away from sales on cymbal packs especially Zildjian and Paiste. A lot of new drummers fall into the sales and the pitch. So the bottom line, "It's A Matter of Taste", whether it's Zildjian, Paiste, or The Joe Shmo brand. Ive tried them all in my over 50 years (not over the hill) "That's to all the young whipper snappers out there in forum land". Try it, if you like it buy it, but don't knock it.

Re: Zildjian Pitch Black Cymbals

I disagree with "avoid package deals" statement in a few particular instances. Zildjian offers an A Custom pack and an Avedis pack. Meinl offers Byzance packs-- all of which are excellent cymbals... Sabian offers the Paragon pack, and if you like the Neil Peart sound they are excellent cymbals...

My 2 cents..

Re: Zildjian Pitch Black Cymbals

I guess you didn't read the other post by your response. Yes as I said before, I bought my kid a Zildjian 3 pack ZBT's. But for myself, my pref is to buy the pack due to short pocket change. If I can afford it in today's economy, then I can pick and choose. Hello, is this thing on? Once again, If you like them buy them, If you ot the cash for the thrash.
I respect everyone's opinion and expect the same. After all this is what this post thing is all about. Good response though. Keep on Trucking.

I actually did read your entire post and you didn't say anything about a specific line, you said cymbal packs in a very generic sort of way, sorry for taking what you said literally... And no, you didn't mention that you bought the ZBT's for your kid in your previous post...

Hmm. It's on, I hear ya loud and clear. In fact I heard exactly what you said-- I think that you think you said something different than what you actually did...

I respect everyone's opinion and nothing I said was disrespectful. I beg to differ of course, when I have a differing opinion, and that's all I did. The fact that you seem to be offended by my difference of opinion makes me wonder if you really mean your above sentiment...

Anyway.. I'm already past it and moving on. Gonna go play my Black on Black Gretsch now... (No I don't have the Zildjian Black cymbals)

This is a forum. Nothing personal. These words are written to express and help other people. Not a show down. Easy to get the wrong impression. Besides I was relating my experiences not comparing them with anyone.
