Hey, does anyone know or has anyone ever played on Zildjian's Pitch Black Cymbals? The guy down at the local music store showed me a set and said that they really open up. This is the first time that I have ever heard of this line (which goes to show that I haven't been keeping up on the latest). Anyhow, I got on the Zildjian Website to check them out but really, these cymbals do not appeal to me at all but I'am curious if anyone has played on them or tried them out?
now no offense but zildijian cymbals are generally **** unless you buy the ones that are in the top lines like a's or sumthing. but i have played these cymbals and the guy at tyhe store is either retarded or an asshole sales man trying to get you to buy them. thses are awful they are way to heavy and i dotn recommend buying them id say wait until sabian comes out with colored cymbals
so apparently theyre just ZHT's painted black. they call them zht hybrid or something like that but its just so people think theyre getting better cymbals than zht, but theyre really just good ol zht's. zht's arent bad cymbals tho in my oppinion, even tho its their mid level cymbal... if ya like ZHT's and ya like black, then get em. or just get zht's and paint em black yo self. either way. :]
I completely agree with all three replies to this thread. When I first seen them, I was immedately leary. In fact, I felt the same way when they first indroduced the so-called Titainum cymbals. I really have no interest in any of that sort of stuff. But I was a little curious if any one played on them? Personally, I have no intentions to invest in the Zildjian's Black Cymbals.
I have played a whole set of them at the guitar center. They are not good cymbals
at all. The black starts to chip away over time and they are pretty much the ZBT line up but in black.
Hey...Lukeys right they are ZHTs..I play As and Ks...but I heard these in a drum shop this past week end and for what they are I was rather impressed with the hats and the ride...not much on the crash...but all in all for the money they are not bad....bottom line read all they replys but if you get a chance to play them or hear them judge for yourself for your needs....all about choice.
