AA sabian-good choice?

hey peopl its me again...
yeah i wanted to ask ur opinion on the sabian AA cymbals-are they good for the type of music i play or should i get other ones and then which ones?
yeah i play punk and most of the time much heavier stuff (SlipKnoT, as i lay dying, all that remains, children of bodom stuff...) so yeah i like playing the crash real high and i wonder if the AA will like withstand for long, cause another thing is that i use 2B sticks so yeah the last cymbals that i had i blew them kinda fast...
so yeah peopl i need ur help once more!

Re: AA sabian-good choice?

AA/AAX cymbals are more of a vintage sounding cymbal.....I use an AAXplosion in my set and I love it! I don't think you will be dissapointed at all with them, because you should be building the sound yourself and not trying to carbon copy your influences For more modern sounding cymbals you can move to the HHX line (Sabian's website has alot of info, and aswell what artists use what so you can hear them in action!)

Just make sure there's a good return policy where you pick them up. They're thin. I hit mine pretty hard, and it hasn't cracked yet, but one is starting to bend weirdly and I'm going to replace it soon. AA sound good for your purposes. They're loud, durable and sound dark, which is what I would want for what you play.

I have an AAX plosion crash, you don't need to hit it hard to get good sounds out of it, the looser the cymbal is the less likely it will break, or buy drum kit brand cymbals if you like tight(you hit them with a stick).

I bought an AAXtreme china and hats and imediatly fell in love. I play HEAVY rock and they cut through anything a guitar player can throw at them 4 thumbs up and my hat is off to sabian for these

Re: AA sabian-good choice?

I think that you should buy AAX mostly because their good cymbals for a metal/rock band.

Re: AA sabian-good choice?

I think you should save up for a Jazz sizzle ride for the slipknot songs.

The last drummer of At rest:

MySpace.com - AT REST - HOWELL, New Jersey - Death Metal / Metal / Thrash - www.myspace.com/atrestmusic

Had a Phil Collins Ride, HH! His name is Phil too!
