Re: Zildjian ZHT or Paiste PST5

The Zildjian site doesn't usually have sound samples in my experience.

And Infero, no matter how many different brands and lines I see, the only ride that I think perfectly outlines my tastes is the A Custom Ping Ride, with the Paragon and HHX RBDR coming close. I'm not a cymbal elitist, I love B8, my preference just lies in that specific cymbal. The Alphas didn't do it for me, though they have their own place.

I've been to the Zildjian website. They have sound samples from what I've seen.
We all have different tastes. Mine basically revolves around the Alphas.
Yours with that A ping ride of yours. Who am I to fight with that?

You're right little buddy, seems like zildjian is the only one with a sound samples for all their cymbal lines on their website.

I've done lots of research and the other don't give you much squat on their cymbals.

Seems like IE won this round Squildjian.

I get the feeling I'm finding sound samples incorrectly. How do you find sound samples on the Zildjian website, precisely?

One way is to go to the homepage and in the upper left hand corner
there is a menu.
On the menus there is a link that says "Cymbals".
A drop down menu will come out and select all products and find whether
your cymbal choice is cast bronze or sheet bronze. Click on the on that
applies to the cymbal of choice and find the exact cymbal from the page that comes up.
click on that cymbal and listen to the sound test.
Or...
Go to the search bar at the top of the page and search the cymbal of choice.

Thats the obvious ways I know it. But, If there is, I don't know a short cut.

Re: Zildjian ZHT or Paiste PST5

IE is correct, the only way I know to listen to the cymbals online at any of the manufacturers is to select a line (AA, AAX, HHX), then select a type (Crash, Ride, Splash) and there is a sound sample on each of the sizes.

I don't know of any shortcuts to get there either.

I wonder if the Search bar is considered a short cut.
