Re: The best product for cleaning cymbals

I posted this exact question and came up with 3 or 4 good answers. I chose the Paiste cleaner (which was one of the recommended cleaners) and Groove Juice. Be careful on the screen printed logos as all of these cymbal cleaners with take them off too.

Re: The best product for cleaning cymbals

I use a product called Groove Juice I've used all, this works for me the best, just don't get it on the LOGO or it will take the writing off either cover it or don't go near it.

GOOD LUCK SLINGERLAND

Re: The best product for cleaning cymbals

I went out and bought some cream from some shop and it made my dirty cymbals even dirtier.
So i made a paste out of white vinegar an salt, to try on the underside of my high hat, got it clean but it certainly isnt shiny

(the cymbal and high hat came with the 2nd hand kit which was stored in a loft so they were/are filthy)

Re: The best product for cleaning cymbals

I use Bosphorus Cymbal Swipes, and the logo friendly product is LOGO FRIENDLY.

Just look at my kit, do you think I would take a chance in ruining my cymbals? Cymbals are pricey, so get this product that's made by the same people that make Bosphorus cymbals which by that way, are even more pricey. You need to clean them routinely as you would the drums. I started a thread called drum maintenance, check it out.
