Are these any good?

I was looking for cymbals to go with my 7 piece Pearl Vision VX927 and I saw a Sabian B8 pack of cymbals for $300. I play alternative and rock and this is whaty it includes. What do you think?
14" hi-hats
14" crash
16" thin crash
20" ride cymbal
18" thin crash
10" splash

Re: Are these any good?

well, this seems like a good deal at first, but if you notice, its a PROMOTIONAL package...
this pack costs $50 less than the non-promotional pack of sabian B8's, which is $350.
so it looks like a really good deal, since theres more cymbals for less $, but at the same time it looks like a bad deal because theyre selling more cymbals for less.
if theyre selling more cymbals for less, they must not be as high quality, right?

so if you're going to get B8 cymbals, then get the non-promotional pack for $350 (maybe you could find it for less). its $50 more than what you were looking at, and theres no splash or china, but its not the promotional pack. either way go by sound and what you like.

hey, dont go solely by my response, wait for some of the other guys to reply, too.
i think im on target with this post, but i could be wrong, since ive never played the promotional pack.
so that said, definitely wait for some other responses.

I must say B8's are pretty good. I have the ride and I must say I am pretty pleased with it. I moved on to Pasite Alphas though.
How long have you been playing?

I'd say that is a pretty good dal there.
Just make sure you check how they sound before you buy.
It's your personal preference. If it sounds good to you, get it.
If you do get the Xs20 super pack, make sure you have enough stands.
Xs20's are amazing, dude. They totally are worth every penny!
