Re: Which cymbals????

Actually, I think Paiste Rude series is what you're after...They will take the hardest strike you can dish out. The Crash/Ride's are perfect for Harcore, metal drummers along with the Chinas and the Novo China. Check out some of the most popular and listen to them for yourself.

Paiste Rude Series 16, 18 Crash-Ride - QualGon Supply

Paiste: Products-> Cymbals-> RUDE-> Chinas (& Swishes)

I can hook you up with a great inside deal too...

Re: Which cymbals????

I completely agree with the guys recommended Paiste Alpha. If you want to drop serious cash for the absolute best Get Paiste Signature 18" Dark Thin. But really, there's no point. The Alpha in awesome. My kit consists of 17 Paiste cymbals. All but 4 are Signature Models. I have a 12" Flanger Splash Accent, 8" & 10" Sound Formula Splashes (because they sound better than the Signatures), and a 18" Alpha China....

For what it's worth, my Alpha China is there on it's merit. I don't get my cymbals from a music store. I can play any cymbal I want to (as long as it's a Paiste). And I use a 18" Alpha China because I love it. I'd be lost without it.

You can't go wrong. It's a great sounding and ultra-responsive China.

No need to drop serious cash. My fellow headsmashers and metal crashers, If you're looking at buying ANY Paiste cymbal, contact me to get them for cost. Oh, and yes YuckyDuck, the Signature Series crashes are ALL real badass, especially the MK1 Dark Energy's.

Re: Which cymbals????

Yes they are are... Haven't played anything else in damn...18 years now. As for Signatures, I'm somewhere around 125-130 of them. Dark Energys so far I have 3 full sets with triplicate Chinas that makes.... 52 I think. Not sure.. Think that's right. Good stuff. If they could make a Signatture series Splash that sounds musical, I'll be duely impressed. I have lots & Lots of Sound Formulas, Dimensions, and Flangers Splashes.. Goddamit, I bet they've sent me 40 Signature splashes by now. I haven't found one yet that stayed on kit more than 5 minutes. I assume it's just nature of the alloy. For the very reason that the cymbals are head & shoulders above anything else on the market in sound quality, and have been for 20yrs, Is porobably exactly why a little one sounds like (well, I can't say that legally)ummm... less than ideal.

I don't care how cheap you get them.. They're still expensive!! You're still gonna pay through the nose if you want to play the best...

I'm sure get them allot cheaper than you do, and they still aren't cheap.
