Re: nylon tip cymbal marks

You were correct, it is Carroll Shelby that is the designer of the Shelby Mustang.

Re: nylon tip cymbal marks

don't waste your time and money trying to find and then buy those expensive cymbal wipes, or cleaners for this particular chore. There's a cleaner you can get at just about any store, including target and walmart called "goo gone". It uses citrus oils among other things but, is completely safe and will not take off any marks other than the ones you don't want....After that, you might want to consider switching to wood tips (If you haven't already done so). I used to use nylon tips also. Then one night, while playing a huge concert for 6 screaming fans (screaming for us to stop) at the local hole in the wall, my nylon tip came off, I didn't notice until the end of the song AFTER I had done enough damage to have to replace ALL of my heads except of course the bass head. They were Vic Firth sticks. It doesn't matter how much you pay for your sticks....this CAN happen with any pair. Safe yourself the trouble and make the switch before it happens to you. Word!
