Spalsh or crash? Hello, I got a Xs20 10" splash on wednesday, and it's OK, but I dunno if I should keep it. I may want to give it back(full refund within 30 days of purchase), and save up a little to get a fast crash. Could anyone tell me if I could get either:
1. A splash within about $150, that's not too splashy, more of a crash sound
2. A fast crash, under $200
Thanks! |

Re: Spalsh or crash? Do you have any other crashes?
I would say if you have more than 1 crash, keep the splash. if you don't like the sound
on it, you can give it back, save up, and buy a better sounding splash.
I just think the splash is just a unique cymbal and can give your drum set more of a versitile feel and function. Good Luck man. |

Re: Spalsh or crash? I have 1 crash(B8 16"), and I DO like splashes, I just want one less splashy, sort of like a mini crash, but a little splash. Sorry, there's a little ambiguity, but can anyone help? |

Re: Spalsh or crash? Well there is a reason they are called splash cymbals. If you want a crash kind of sound, then you should be shopping for crash cymbals. |

Re: Spalsh or crash? Yes, I said that in my first post :/
Can you think of any decent fast crashes under $200? |

Re: Spalsh or crash? I have a B8 thin crash 16"(also said that ), but I want something a little shorter decay, because I find it lasts a long time. What do you think of Xs20 medium 16" or 18"? |

Re: Spalsh or crash? i own the 16" Xs20 medium crash, and i love it. its the best sounding cymbal i have, but i think mine is special all other 16" xs20s ive tried dont sound quite as good
i dont have the 18" so i cant say much about it, but the 16 is definitely good. |
