Zil Bell

I picked up a 6 inch Zildjian Zil Bell about two or three months ago. I was worried at first that it wouldn't cut through the other instruments, but this thing cuts through everything. I also thought, what's the point of a bell, my ride already has one. Well, my ride's bell is nothing compared to this baby. Highly recommended for super-sweet-awesomely-fantastic-ultra-heavy breakdowns. Awesome purchase. Just wanted to share that.

Re: Zil Bell

One time at a music store, the clerk showed me it.
It looked really cool and I always thought to would come in handy.
I hopefully will get the Paiste 2002 bell chime. I liked the sound of that more than the Zil-bel.
Both are very nice and, like butter said, very innovative.

Re: Zil Bell

I switched from a 9.5 to a 6" myself.

I have 2 ping rides but there are those times when you need a different sound!

What made you switch? I was thinking if I did get another I would go bigger. Like the 6 better?

I didn't like the amount of ring the 9.5 had.

Re: Zil Bell

Hmm there is actually a use to them? I might as well buy one as my ride's bell is so weak sounding that my medium ZILdgian crash's bell is louder.
