Question In need for a new smoky vintage ride

Hi all,
i am currently playing a 22" Sabian Jam Master Signature ride.
Good all-around cymbal, but today I could try it side-by-side with a Bosphorus Master Vintage 21"... i think i want that one!
But i am worried about it being too low in volume - i am playing '70 acidjazz/funk most of all.
Do you think I could go for that cymbal, or maybe do you have some other suggestions for me? (always stick to the smoky kind of sound that lightweight cymbals can give, I don't want ping anymore! )
Any other suggestion is very welcome.
Thankyou guys

Bosphorus cymbals are great sounding for your needs.

I had to settle for a Zildjian Mitch Mitchell set up, due to lack-o-money. That's spreading around allot lately.

I should have worn gloves.

Soultone makes some really great cymbals also. Check them out some time.

I can recomend the paiste "19 thin crash, I own it and its got smoke comin out the wazzoo, It's also very versatile and has great projection. Alsothe 2002 ride is a classic sounding ride, thin but still rock based so might have that volume you're after.

Or check out their twenty series. There are sound files at paiste.com

Zildjian also has some sound files.

Move the cursor over the cymbal and select what type you want to hear.

Zildjian.com - EN-US - Homepage

You can even select by artist or model.

Also go to the Paiste Sound Room.
