Banes, Between the Buried and me, Fear Factory, and All That remains drummers all used AAXtremes (I'm sure)

Meinl sight might help you? I don't know much about meinl but they are supposed to last longer then other brands and their artist I have met are devoted! I know the sight has clips and check out metal artist the use that china.

White chapels' drummer uses one, though most use MBs that doesn't mean its a bad cymbal.

Re: Chinas

You should check out the Paiste Rude Series China and Novo China....really trashy and very well-manufactured. I have two 18" Rude Chinas (one on each side). You really get your money's worth with these cymbals....plus, I'm an authorized Paiste distributor (a little side hobby), and can get you a killer deal...just over COST!
Here's a couple places you can go to hear them, and look at STARTING prices (I almost always go down from those): Paiste: Products-> Cymbals-> RUDE-> Chinas (& Swishes)

Paiste Rude Series 18, 20 China - QualGon Supply

It's important to note that I am not here just to sell cymbals, it's just something I do on the side. I like the idea of being able to use my connections to get my fellow drummers the prices they SHOULD get....without having to pay some rediculously high markup!!

Re: Chinas

Do you only sell paiste? or maybe meinl or zildjian, because i only really use those two companys allthough im open to others. Hey gus the place where i discovered that china i want that is $210 is the meinl website, i sat there one night and looked through all of there crashs and chinas and wrote down all the ones i really liked and put stars next to the ones i like the best. I like the sounds they have online like the ones i found on youtube and there website but i want to hear them in real life plus i want to hear them with my other cymbals. Oh and venom the music stores i have are music and arts which only has beginner cymbal sets and hot licks music store which dident have any chinas in stock when i went a few weeks ago.

Re: Chinas

Seriously.. you've never tried Paiste?
Are you new at this? Or you been hiding under a rock, or something?
I know they're more expensive than other brands. And I hate that they price themselves out of the "Intermediate" market, which is probably about 80% of players. If you don't have 350.00 to thrown on a Signature, (and most don't) doesn't mean other models are cheap.
The Paiste Alpha series is designed for Rock and Metal. They sound killer. You can't break one unless you use a baseball bat or sledge hammer or it. And you can get it for around 150.00. "Rev" might be able to get you one cheaper than that.

Alpha China's kick ass. I use them, and most of my set-up is Signatures. I use 4 china's (2 Signatures + 2 Alpha). I'm not on a budget and play whatever I want. Get in touch with "REV" and see if he can find a Paitse that will work for you at a decent price. If he can't, PM me... and I'll "Miracle" one for you.

FYI -
If you've been playing for more 2 years:. Wuhan's are for decoration.
Some Meinl stuff sounds really good, but if it breaks because you looked at it funny, you'll be right back here again...

Re: Chinas

So basically, the choices are...
Meinl Soundcaster China
Sabian AAXtreme 19 inch China
Zildijian Oriental China
Paiste Alpha/Rude Chinas
Wuhan Chinas
I'd say if you can, try before you buy. All are great chinas, though, so whichever you pick, you won't be disappointed.

Re: Chinas

Basically what he said, ESPECIALLY the very last sentence.

TRY BEFORE YOU BUY.

Repetition is the key, my friend.
