Hi, I've been a member on here for quite some time, but really haven't started actively searching the forums until a few weeks ago. This is my first post. Anyway, I went to warped tour a couple of weeks ago. It was amazing, being able to see amazing drummers less than 20 feet away. One thing I noticed was the amount their cymbals would vibrate. They looked like they were going to break. I had never noticed this much vibration in a cymbal before. Low and behold, about a week after the concert, I started noticing the same vibrations when I played my ride. Of course, I am not a light hitter by any means. Is this a normal cymbal reaction. Is it possible that it is occurring because I changed the way the ride sat in the stand? Is it bad to have the cymbals vibrate so much? Any help would be appreciated very much.

Vibration is how a cymbal produces it's sound. The harder you hit it the more the vibration and the louder it is.
