I find this a quite interesting thread because BlackBeauty claims to be the "best youth drummer on the forum" but is making the terms of this battle. If you are the "best youth drummer" shouldn't the challenger make the terms, seeing how you claim to be the "best youth drummer".
I unfortunately can't play anything but bongos for my life so I will not participate in this battle. I will, watch how this plays out.

that is a good point, DOTH.

she apparently has skills on the snare, however i would consider "the best youth drummer", to be someone who is skilled in every category, marching drumming as well as set. maybe it should be a double category battle... 2 minutes of snare drumming, followed by 2 minutes of soloing on a set.

and DOTH, all you need is the rhthym. youll develop the coordination for set drumming if you dont already have it, and youll get the chops for corps drumming just by practice. os are pretty cool, though

Well there is no response from BlackBeauty in a while. I guess that decides that the battle between butter and IE decides the "best youth drummer on the forum"

how many youth are actually active on this site??? ,,,,,, blackbeauty1122 i wanna see some vids..... and narrowing down the best youth drummer would take a while cause every week it gets like 4-5 new people on here and im guessing that the majority are teens..... well thts wht i think....

I want to see a tournament done, to all active teen members. Who ever wins gets the title. We start a thread, and who ever wants to join, joins. Everyone posts a video with a time limit, and BAM! we vote and winner is revealed. The only problem is what category of drumming we would do.

well, IE and i are already in a battle. we need to do a tournament, were working on getting it set up.

it is odd blackbeauty hasnt responded for a while... maybe we scared her off

we do a get a few new members each week, but most of them dont stay active. IE and i are definitely the most active youth drummers. there are a few others that are quite active, though.
we would do the tournament, and then the drummer winning would get the title, and would keep it until challenged and defeated. that would work better than a never ending tournament with every new member

im not sure how many of us here are actually teens.
