I say it should be a whoever wants to join kind of tournament, even though it is for best youth drummer on the forum.

The major problem isn't Tainojim's age, it is what style we are going to do. I think it should be any style but that might cause some voting difficulties.

Tainojim could give everyone an overall category every week and whoever gets the most the most votes a week moves on and we eliminate accordingly. That way Tainojim doesn't feel left out, and whoever moves on gets to play a bunch of different styles which can help them in the future. We also might make a week break in between for studying the style and practicing.

In this thread, adam, we where going to have the pairs for each round discuss what
style they would do. This is what each pair would do for each of their battles.
How bout that???

well try to pair you with someone close to your skill level according to experience. be confident

what if we had a youth tournament and an adult tournament. we could bracket wins and losses and pair teens with adults to determine an overall champion after the 2 tournaments. in fact, we would be able to list placing for as many people enter.

this is going to be difficult and will take lots of organization, but it will be awesome

So, we would host both a youth and adult tournament?
and the winners from both tournaments would face off?
In one huge battle??

haha ya man!

i was thinking before the two tournaments decide a winner and face off, then the 2 competitors who got second in each of the first two tournaments would compete to determine 3rd and 4th place, and we could go all the way down to 10th place, or whatever we decide. that way we would have a more accurate portrayal of youth vs. adult skill on the forum

a name... i dunno what it could be other than DSC drum tournament

So, we divide the adults and youth,
they have their tournaments, then say one person in the youth tournament gets in 4th.
the person that gets in 4th in the adult tournament will face off with the youth?
and who wins will be the 4th best drummer? Am I getting this right?

Or, the 2 people that lost in the second round, face off to determine 3rd and 4th place?
and the winners of round 2 go on in their age group until 1st is decided??
