Travis Barker isn't that great of a drummer and i have no idea how he came so close to Neil Peart...

I am in agreement. As to how he came close is simply a matter of name recognition and little more.

Just because a drummer is overrated doesn't mean he's not good. Sure Travis isn't the most progressive player on the planet but his speed and accuracy are pretty awesome.

Travis is fast and he does the punk sound of drumming well but he really doesn't drum that effiecent with other styles. Neal Peart has a full catalogue of different drum tastes and sounds and patterns, and thats what I think determines a good drummer someone who can master a range of styles.

A great drummer is the one that uses different combination's and mixed riffs.

I never said he isn't good, I just said he isn't great.
