Matt Smith/ Brubeck Brushes

Hey Everyone,

This is an improvised solo with brushes based on jazz composer Dave Brubeck's odd meter compositions. I decided to play the solo mostly in 9/8 (not always), and frame it loosely around Blue Rondo A La Turk.

Thanks for listening.

I like a number of different styles but prefer the jazz masters, with Elvin Jones and Tony Williams being personal favorites... and highest respect for Rich and Bellson.

Not much jazz metal available. But here is some modernist Coltrane jazz I did with my European band back when I was 14.
