Basically, in this posting, I mainly want to find the confidence that one needs, and keeps, in order to play the drums well. I might be answering my own post by typing in the word: "Practice, Practice, Practice!". Any thoughts on how one finds the confidence to play drums well? I am tired of feeling insecure and always searching for confidence....Take care all and thank you for your input. Semeon......

Remove emotion from the equation. Don't play to be good or bad. Just play.

Skinslapper, thank you for your advice. I hope to learn a lot from the Drum Forum. I will find the confidence to play drums well. Practice, practice, practice!!
I accept the idea that I am evolving as a drummer. Through Drum Forum I hope to read from other drummers about their experiences, trials, and ideas on many aspects of drumming. I look forward to that. Thank you for your replies to my inner struggles with drumming. I am returning to the instrument with passion, love, and desire to play and learn. Take care... Semeon....
